At AIS our classroom music program is focused on the two core areas as defined by the Australian Curriculum, making and responding. Students explore music in an interactive, hands on environment which encourages team work and creativity to make performances with a variety of instruments.
As modern music is moving more into the digital age, we encourage and engage with the use of digital instruments and applications to incorporate technology into the music curriculum. Students will respond to a variety of different musical styles and explore the relationship of different cultures to music. Through responding to different types of music students will develop their understanding of the elements of music and look at how music can change create different emotions.
At AIS we are committed to arts education and the benefits it can have for our students.
